Coach Mrs. M founded the Debbie's Twirlers / Fundy Twirlers * Starettes Baton Club in 1988. During her teaching career, she has taught several Provincial & National Champions and has coached athletes named to the Canadian National Representative for the World Championships in South Bend, Indiana. She has judged baton contests in Halifax, Boston & New York (to name a few). In 2003, Coach Mrs. M completed the Skills Development Program and served as the Sanction Officer in 2005 for the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation. She was honoured at the 2008 Nationals with the CBTF Lifetime Achievement Award to her dedication and love to the sport of Baton Twirling. Coach Mrs. M volunteers as the Skills Development Officer and Adjudicator Course Conductor, Level 1 & 2 Coach Conductor, Level 1 Judge Conductor of Baton New Brunswick / CBTF.

Coach Stephanie has been involved in baton twirling at the age of 2 and started her competitive career at the early age of 6 as a former member of Debbie’s Twirlers / Fundy Twirlers * Starettes. She competed at the regional, provincial, national & world level and attended the National Championships eight times (won many Gold and Silver medals). She studied recreational ballet for 8 years at Port City Dance Academy focusing on her technique to better her baton twirling career.
In 2007, Coach Stephanie represented Canada during Worlds in the International Cup, which was held in Hamilton, Ontario and performed in the Hamilton Ti-Cat Football Half-Time Show with athletes from around the world. She qualified to be part of the 2008 World Canadian Team in Limerick, Ireland. .
Stephanie ended her competitive baton twirling career at the 2010 BNB Provincials by achieving 1st place in Senor B Freestyle, 2-Baton Level A and Duet BN.

Volunteered on the Baton New Brunswick Executive for two years as Athlete's Representative and Newsletter Editor.

In 2005, she performed her Simple Plan "Welcome to my Life" Freestyle routine during her High School Assembly receiving a standing ovation with a no drop routine.
